Who operates ShopLaunch
ShopLaunch at shoplaunch.app is operated by Pierre Sabbagh, based in Lebanon. Pierre is responsible for deciding how information collected through this page is used.
Privacy contact: [email protected]. This notice covers the coming-soon page and its launch updates list, not any future store-building services, apps, accounts, or payments.
Information and purposes
- Launch updates: if you request updates, we collect your email address, signup time, notice version, and subscription/confirmation status. We use them to confirm your request, send ShopLaunch launch-related updates, and respect your choices. We do not add you to a general promotional newsletter.
- Website delivery and protection: Cloudflare processes technical connection information, such as IP address and request/browser information, to deliver the site and help prevent abuse. On interacting with the signup form, Turnstile processes security signals to distinguish people from automated traffic.
- Correspondence: if you email us, we receive your email address and anything you choose to include, to answer you or handle your privacy request. Please do not send sensitive information unnecessarily.
The site is intended for adult business owners. We do not intentionally solicit children's information. Please contact us if you believe a child has supplied personal information.
Your signup choice
Joining the list is optional. Requesting launch updates does not create a customer account or require a purchase. You must confirm through the link EmailOctopus sends before receiving launch announcements.
We rely on your consent for launch updates. You may withdraw it using the unsubscribe link in each announcement or by contacting us. Withdrawal does not affect processing that was lawful before withdrawal.
We process information needed to deliver and protect the site and answer enquiries for those purposes. Where applicable law requires a legal basis, we rely on our legitimate interests in operating a secure site and responding to requests, subject to your rights, or another basis required by that law.
Providers and international processing
- Cloudflare: website hosting through Pages, signup processing, spam protection through Turnstile, and incoming email routing. See its Privacy Policy and Turnstile Privacy Addendum.
- EmailOctopus: storing the launch list, confirming subscriptions, delivering announcements, and processing unsubscribes. See its Privacy Policy and data-processing information.
- Google/Gmail: receiving correspondence forwarded from our public contact address. See Google's Privacy Policy.
Access is limited to Pierre and providers involved in these tasks, subject to applicable provider terms. Information may be processed outside Lebanon. EmailOctopus states that contact lists are hosted in the EU, primarily Ireland; Cloudflare and Google operate internationally. We use these providers under their applicable service and data-protection terms. Contact us for information about the processing locations and safeguards that apply to your information.
We do not sell your personal information, share the launch list for advertising audiences, or use it to train AI. We may disclose information where legally required or necessary to address security incidents or legal claims.
Cookies and tracking
We do not use advertising pixels, visitor-behaviour analytics, or optional preference storage on this page. Fonts are hosted with the site rather than fetched from Google Fonts. No cookie-consent banner is active.
Turnstile is used for security, not advertising, and its pre-clearance cookie feature is disabled. Cloudflare may process security-related signals or use necessary technologies according to the enabled protection features. We will update this notice if those features change.
Open and ordinary link-click tracking are disabled for our launch campaigns. Confirmation and other subscription messages may involve additional technical interaction tracking by EmailOctopus; we have not independently verified the confirmation email's open/click tracking behaviour. Delivery, bounce, confirmation, and unsubscribe events are processed to operate the list.
Retention
We schedule deletion of confirmed waitlist records at 24 months from signup or six months after ShopLaunch launches, whichever comes first. Unconfirmed signup requests are scheduled for deletion after 30 days. Cleanup runs every ten minutes in batches, normally completing expired-record removal within a day. Provider outages or job failures may delay removal and must be investigated and remedied.
Unsubscribing stops launch announcements. Limited unsubscribe records may remain within the same retention deadline to prevent unwanted mail. The public signup form does not automatically reactivate an existing unsubscribed record. You may request deletion by email.
Correspondence is retained while needed to resolve the enquiry or request, with any further retention limited to a genuine legal or security need. Provider backups and necessary operational records follow their applicable retention arrangements; deletion from the active list does not promise immediate erasure from every backup.
Privacy requests
You can contact [email protected] to request access, correction, deletion, or withdrawal of your signup permission. No account is required. We may request proportionate information to verify that the address belongs to you.
Additional rights, such as objection, restriction, portability, or a complaint to a competent authority, may apply depending on the law governing your information. We will handle requests within the applicable legal deadlines and explain any lawful limits.
Security and changes
We use encrypted connections, server-side spam verification, restricted provider access, and two-factor authentication on administration accounts where available. No online service can guarantee absolute security.
We will update this notice when practices change and revise the version above. A new purpose for launch-list data will not be treated as automatically covered by an earlier signup.
